SUMMARY:Native Seed Sowing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Fall is the perfect time to sow seeds that need a winter’s rest. By mimicking nature\, we can plant native seeds that need to experience cold to start germination. Together we will start seeds for the wildflower meadow at Lasdon as we learn about their benefits to the ecosystem. In addition each participant will make a milk jug terrarium to bring home to start their own wildflower garden at home.

DESCRIPTION:Practice and enjoy being present and aware in the fresh Autumn air with a gentle and friendly weekly walk. Your guide will provide prompts to appreciate the abundance of the season and to take notice of our natural surroundings. Participants may stop and sketch or write\, or walk ahead at their own pace. You may choose to share or listen. Your observations contribute to our creative collaborative nature study journal. \nThis is an outdoor program. Cancellation in case of extreme weather or school cancellation. Sturdy shoes. Simple writing materials provided or bring your own. Contact with any special accessibility needs.
