Lasdon Park is calling on volunteers to contribute hours in almost every department throughout the park. New volunteers will be interviewed and placed according to the park’s needs. As these needs change, other opportunities for volunteering can become available. Please review our list of opportunities to determine your areas of interest.

Opportunities
Horticulture
Assist staff by pruning, planting, raking, mulching, watering, and weeding. Work with the gardeners to help maintain and further the park’s beauty. Days and times are specific to seasonal needs. Most volunteer activities will be on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10a.m.- 12:00pm. beginning the first Tuesday in April.
Public Events
Assist with public events by staffing information tables, working behind the scenes to set up, assist in crowd movement, assist in building and creating sets for events, hand out programs and support materials, and fill in wherever needed. Days and hours will vary based on event.
Conservatory Exhibits
Working under the direction of the creative director to assist in the creation of themed exhibits within the conservatory and patio areas.
Junior Volunteer
Young adults 15 years of age and older can earn Community Service credits and learn about horticulture and conservation. For additional information about this program, please contact Jessica Schuler, Director, at jasc@westchestercountyny.gov.
