The Westchester County Veterans Museum presents
evolution 250 years of military gear
Step into 250 years of American military history at the new exhibit, Evolution: 250 Years of Military Gear, now on display at the Westchester County Veterans Museum. Through authentic artifacts and immersive displays, visitors can explore how military equipment evolved alongside the changing needs of soldiers as well as some not-so-perfect creations.
From boots, uniforms, camouflage, and firearms to dog tags, haversacks, medical equipment, communications technology, and field rations, the exhibit offers a fascinating educational journey through the everyday realities of military service across generations. Interactive touch-screen components further enhance the experience, allowing guests of all ages to engage directly with the stories, and sacrifices behind the objects on display.
Designed to educate, inspire, and preserve history, this exhibit provides a meaningful opportunity for students, families, veterans, and the public to better understand the evolution of military life and the enduring impact of those who served.
Admission is free to the public, and donations are welcomed to support the museum’s continuing educational mission.
