Ages 5 years old and up will bake yummy heart-shaped roll-and-cut sugar cookies from scratch, and then make keepsake Valentine’s Day cards with a variety of imaginative techniques.

SORRY, REGISTRATIONS ARE CLOSED, THIS PROGRAM IS FULL After being inducted into the Civil War army, ages 6 and older will bake Civil War ginger cookies, hand-sew a soldier?s haversack, make a period craft, play with Civil War-era toys and learn about being a soldier via a hands-on experience in the Veterans Museum. $10.
After being inducted into the Civil War Army, children will bake Maple Sugar Cookies, hand-sew a soldiers' housewife (something every soldier needed!), make a period craft, play with Civil War toys and learn about being a soldier with a hands-on experience in the Veterans Museum. 6 children max. Ages 6 years old and up.
If you like to play outdoors in winter, let’s gather together to build with sticks and stems. We will learn about habitat, winter shelters and everything the season offers. Using plant-based fibers such as pineapple, banana, bamboo, corn, soybean and avocado, ages 6 and older will learn to spin and then use the yarn they spun to create a mini woven wall hanging.

The studio at Lasdon is open. In this workshop children follow their own creative path, working in a variety of different materials with an art educator guiding them along the way. Registration is required to attend this program. This is not a drop off program. For ages 4 and up
Join the head gardener for a walk around Lasdon Public Gardens in early spring! What to see? Bulbs that were planted last fall, branches that are budding out, the architecture of specimen trees around the park. Free, registration required.
