Lasdon Public Gardens, The New York City Department of Environmental Protection and Westchester Soil and Water Conservation District are working together to restore the banks of the Muscoot River. Steep slopes along this tributary to the Muscoot Reservoir have declining eastern hemlock (Tsuga canadensis) and American beech (Fagus grandifolia) trees due to forest pests, hemlock wooly adelgid, elongated hemlock scale, and beech leaf disease. Learn more about the collaboration across property boundaries, management strategies, and what you can do to manage invasive species. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
